It was announced as one of the items in "the fifth batch provincial intangible cultural heritage list" on September 29, 2013 by People's Government of Hebei Province.
Lun School Local Yangko is artistically featured by the following characteristics: “With the whole body relaxing and slightly trembling, the chest squares, stomach is held in and shoulders are moved. With facial expression exquisite and eyes contacting, the whole yangko is humorous and romantic. With the legs funnily blending and steps agile, the fans swings like flowers and people dances tripplingly. With the neck turning around, the bottom swings from left to right, sitting on the crotch and hands on knees. With dancing around and gestures vivid, all of the poses are really beautiful. With the cherry hat being taken off and put on by himself, it is well-known with a unique style.”
Since the 1950s, Lun School Local Yangko has taken part in Tangshan and Hebei province literary performances and gained honors many times. It has won the first performance prize in the National Folk Art Performance in March, 1956.
