To establish a new tourism brand image and a portal for advertising and promotion, Beidaihe is intensively working on developing new tourism souvenirs that will showcase the destination’s tourism and cultural attractions from multiple perspectives. The work is carried out in four aspects. First of all, reorganize, comprehensively, the pictures and literary materials of Beidaihe’s tourism development history over the past one hundred years, as well as its various efforts made in support of the tourism industry. Secondly, redesign, discuss and decide the best solutions of pushing forward tourism development. Thirdly, in a spirit of craftsmanship and with advanced techniques, design and deliver products of premium quality. This includes detailed tourism maps and one-hundred-year development maps in watercolor painting style, which elaborate Beidaihe’s literary and cultural history, tourist attractions and folk culture. The souvenirs will be categorized into six collections – cultural and creative collection, business collection, local special products collection, bird knowledge collection, Xiaomi cooperative collection and freehand sketching collections – spanning five categories of local cultures: bird-watching culture, scenic area cultures, historical culture, costal cultural and villa culture. Fourthly, manage project construction effectively to ensure meeting the deadline, make every effort to timely exhibit Beidaihe tourism-oriented development map both on-line and off-line, and guarantee the “Beidaihe Souvenir” flagship store to start operation in time. All efforts are made to build the region’s tourism brand and strengthen its market influence.
