The Second Garden Expo (Qinhuangdao) in Hebei Province will officially open to the public at 2:00 pm on July 16. On July 12, the municipal government held a press conference to introduce the design concepts, thematic features and highlights, the route of the tour, the opening of the ticketing system and the setting of public service facilities to the citizens and tourists.
The north section is a series of representative landscapes with Hebei provincial characteristics, forming three groups: mountain plateaus, forests and meadows, rivers and lakes as well as wetlands. The south section includes four gardens: creative theme garden, regional garden, specified flowers garden, and the botanical garden with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei characteristics.
New materials, new technologies, new species and green environmental protection materials are widely used in the construction of the Garden Expo. It adopts the assembly-type construction and collects rainwater as urban reclaimed water in the whole Garden, creating innovative garden, low-carbon garden, sponge garden, intelligent garden, and common people’s garden.
Tourists and citizens can fully enjoy the convenience brought by smart garden here. You can purchase tickets online after subscribing the official WeChat public account. You can listen, free of charge, to the Garden introduction, popularization of plant science explained by electronic tour guide, and you can identify different plants through photos and learn about riding guide of sightseeing buses, etc.
In order to serve tourists and citizens better, water dispensers are equipped in every visitor service center in the Garden Expo. There are 3 restaurants and 6 convenience stores in the Garden, 61 toilets in the service area and main venue as well as green pavilion. There is a medical rescue station to provide medical services. The visitor service center provides services for the elderly and babies such as wheelchair and baby stroller storage and borrowing. There are 2,009 parking spaces around the Garden Expo for tourists to have a self-driving tour.
