Qinhuangdao Maritime Bureau has strengthened the working mechanism of shoreline patrol and maritime cruise duty in order to improve the efficiency of safety supervision. Departments at all levels coordinate to conduct water-land joint patrols and night beach patrols for improving the efficiency of maritime security. The maritime law enforcement forces optimize and integrate to build multilevel defense lines so as to fully safeguard maritime security. Different divisions take their own responsibilities and expand information sources to discover problems and solve them in time.
In order to serve the tourists better, the government staff come to the front line to strengthen the inspection. Combined with the“digital segmentation management” model, the head of every segment is responsible for the safety supervision and publicity of laws and regulations in certain blocks of the coastline under the responsibility, ensuring that there isn’t any negligence on security work. Passenger ships of 50-seats or more are the focus of supervision, passenger conditions, weather conditions and sea conditions are confirmed for each voyage. Prevention and control measure of burst weather disasters are done to ensure the safety of sea-related tourism. the frequency of daily cruises on the sea is increased from one time to three times a day, and the cruise time is adjusted from daytime to both day and night. The sea patrol law enforcement boat is on duty 24 hours a day to ensure maritime emergency response is timely and effective.
It is reported that since the tourist peak season, Qinhuangdao Maritime Bureau has organized more than 90 cruise patrols covered 2,500 nautical miles, carrying out nearly 200 special safety inspections and more than 65,000 safety supervision on tourist cruise and yachts, approximately 700,000 tourists are protected from possible dangers from the sea.
