On September 22nd-23rd, Liu Changxiao and Huang Luqi, scientists from Chinese Academy of Engineering, together with Li Jinhua, the CEO of Guangzhou General Pharmaceutical Research Institute Co. Ltd. (GPRI), and Dong Hanyu, the CEO of Dawanhanwei Pharmaceutical Technology Group came to visit Qinhuangdao city for research. The Mayor and Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Ruishu attended the forum held on 22nd, on which he had an in-depth exchange of ideas on local advantageous resources and the building of Beidaihe Life & Health Industry Innovation Demonstration Area.
During the forum, Liu Changxiao stressed the importance of planting and cultivating geographically iconic medicines to the development of local Life & Health industry. With rich Chinese medicine resources, Qinhuangdao city should develop the plantation, processing, production, and marketing of local iconic medicine through rational layout and scientific planning. In this way, we could consolidate and propel the industrial strength of traditional Chinese Medicine, and put in shape a garden city economy and increase economic benefits. Huang Luqi has also brought up valuable suggestions on building the whole industrial chain for Qinhuangdao Life & Health industry. Other entrepreneurs have expressed their confidence in vast opportunities in Qinhuangdao and their interests in further negotiation and cooperation.
Mayor Zhang Ruishu has also given a detailed introduction of the city from following aspects: history, location specific advantages, eco-environment, tourism industry, health and sanatory industry, transportation, and human and talent resources, etc. He pointed out that Qinhuangdao, rich in natural resources, has huge potential of development in future. As one of the first batch of open coastal cities, we have made notable progresses in infrastructure, industrial structure and policy environment through years of hard work in Qinhuangdao. We will seize the opportunity offered by the first national Life & Health Industry Innovation Demonstration Area to strengthen the life & health industry by nurturing a five-in-one industrial cluster that includes pharmacy, medical care, sanatory industry, healthcare and tourism.
