www.Hebei.com.cn, Qinhuangdao, (Reporter Zu Di, correspondent Wang Le): In the early morning of the New Year’s Day, the patrol boat departed from the port in the cold winter, marking the first patrol in 2020 by Qinhuangdao Maritime Safety Administration.
In order to cope with the continuing impact of extreme weather, Qinhuangdao Maritime Safety Administration has taken various measures to maintain the stability of the water traffic safety during New Year’s Day and the Spring Festival, including increasing patrol efforts in key areas and time periods, strengthening on-site supervision and order management of navigable dense waters, maintaining the navigation environment and order in the jurisdiction, ensuring the safe and smooth passage of the electricity and coal transportation corridor in winter; increasing the frequency and supervision of on-site inspections, reminding the implementation of measures to prevent extreme weather such as cold waves and strong winds to ensure the safety of operation during mooring; strengthening ship dynamic monitoring through platforms such as ship traffic management system, ship automatic identification system, and CCTV system, discovering and dealing with the risks such as dragging anchors or loss of control, maintaining good navigation order, urging related enterprises such as port production units, construction units, shipping companies and agency companies to implement the duty mechanism of production safety; setting up 24-hour contact telephones and contacts to ensure the reception and transmission of weather warning information channels are unblocked; strictly implementing 24-hour emergency duty and leadership system to ensure timely and effective emergency response.
During the New Year’s Day, Qinhuangdao Maritime Safety Administration dispatched more than 50 officials and 12 vehicles to patrol over 30 nautical miles, and guaranteed the safe transportation of more than 80 ships and nearly 600,000 tons of cargo.
