In order to ensure the stability of the maritime traffic safety during the Spring Festival, Qinhuangdao Maritime Administration builds water traffic “safety nets” by strengthening electronic patrols, on-site inspections, early warning and control, and emergency on-duty according to the extreme weather conditions such as cold air outbreaks and strong winds in the jurisdiction.
1.Fully grasp the state of ships in the jurisdiction, comprehensively use platforms such as VTS (Vessels Traffic Management System), AIS (Automatic Identification System), and CCTV (Cruise Control Electronic System) to strengthen the supervision of key ships, and timely release various safety information to ensure safe and efficient entry and exit of ships. 2. Carry out early warning of extreme weather, pay close attention to weather changes, do a good job in receiving, tracking and evaluating severe weather information, and issue early warning information to the ships for defense in advance through VHF (Very High Frequency Wireless Telephone), WeChat group, fax and other methods. 3. Strengthen on-site supervision, urge related companies to implement the responsibility of the main body of production safety, continue to refine and break down the tasks of safety supervision, and implement them by certain post and personnel. 4. Strengthen publicity and education, enhance the employees’ awareness of production safety through the release of maritime prevention and the analysis of the situation of production safety to establish the ideological defense line. 5. Implement a 24-hour emergency duty and leadership regulation, coordinate with the search and rescue member units in the jurisdiction, to increase the emergency duty force and the emergency response speed, so as to ensure timely and effective handling of dangerous situations.
At the same time, the MSA reminds the crew and passengers on the sea to pay close attention to the water traffic safety, the weather and sea conditions during the Spring Festival. Please call 12395(the national maritime search and rescue number) in case of any emergency on the water.
