Li Lifeng is a staff member of the Disinfection Department of the CDC of Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. His wife Li Li is also from the CDC. They have been working there for many years.
Recently, in order to do a good job in the epidemic prevention and control, Li Lifeng has been keeping on the front line, conducting the terminal disinfection, flow control in hospitals, and technical guidance on preventive disinfection in various sectors of society. He can only sleep 3 hours a day.
Li Li who works at the logistics support group applied to the front line where her husband is fighting, and she would not like to be left behind.
In this way, the husband and wife side by side went to the first line of the anti-epidemic.
“We have been persuading Li to go back to rest, but he won’t listen. He drinks a cup of coffee when he is too busy to have time to eat.” said Zhu Dawei, director of the CDC of Haigang District. As a disinfecting staff member, Li Lifeng knows the importance of disinfection work. The important links such as flow control, sampling, quarantine, and transfer all need to be disinfected, regardless of day and night. “What you saw is what it is now, we must be very careful.”
It needs to be on duty 24 hours a day because of the special post. The couple did not return home after the outbreak of the epidemic. Sometimes they got several minutes to chat in a hurry with their kid through WeChat.
“We must charge forward facing the epidemic. This is our job.” After saying so, Li Lifeng turned to the prevention and control work again. As the staff member of the CDC, they stuck to their posts , dedicating their strength to the health and safety of the people. (Reporter Zu Di, Correspondent Cao Jianxiong)
