Trucks loaded with pork is ready to go.
Qinhuangdao (The Great Wall Network/Reporter Zu Di)-- On the afternoon of February 20, two trucks loaded with pork headed to Wuhan from Hebei Hongdu Industrial Group Co., Ltd. in Xiazhuang Management Zone, Funing District, Qinhuangdao City.
Pan Hongshu, chairman of the company, said that these pork would arrive at the destination in 24 hours if everything goes well, which is the 2nd batch of pork to Wuhan.
The pork of 600 pigs donated by Hebei Hongdu Industrial Group Co., Ltd. were transported to Wuhan, and the 1st batch of 300 pigs had been delivered to Wuhan on February 19, and arrived on February 20.
There is a mechanized slaughtering production line in Hebei Hongdu Industrial Group Co., Ltd. with the capacity of slaughtering 3 million pigs per year, which can slaughter more than 4,300 pigs per day, and sell cold meat to markets in Beijing, Tianjin, Tangshan, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and Northeast China.
During the outbreak of COVID-19, the company slaughters and processes 1,000 pigs per day on average to guarantee the market’s meat supply, making every effort to enable the general public to eat “quality-assured meat” during the epidemic, and providing a powerful living guarantee for winning the battle against the epidemic prevention and control.

“This batch of pigs are raised in our own farms. They are provincial-level live reserve pigs, and we are glad to donated them to Wuhan. When disaster struck, help came from all sides.
