On March 16, the Urban Construction Development Co., Ltd. of Hebei Port Group introduced the first batch of 40 Hobie twin-hull unpowered sailboats, which marks the new progress of the transformation and upgrading of Qinhuangdao Port.
According to a leader of the company, “The Hobie twin-hull unpowered sailboat is produced in Australia and certified by the Chinese Yachting Association, with good applicability and driving experience. A total of 40 sailing boats have arrived in the port, 30 of them are of Hobie Getaway type, 10 are Hobie16 type. Hobie Getaway is equipped with wings on both sides of the hull, which is more stable and comfortable than other similar sailing boats. The mesh trampoline at the bow provides more space and the experience of water-playing, it is suitable for beginners. Hobie16 is the most classic type of sports twin-hull sailing boat, which has been recognized by the World Sail Federation as early as in the 1970s. It has gone through the 22nd World Championships and is suitable for students or players with a certain degree of driving control. In particular, these boats have obtained ship ownership registration certificate, ship nationality certificate, and yacht airworthiness certificate, which is a good security for the experiencers.
“The Urban Construction Development Co., Ltd. has vigorously developed navigation industry since 2019 under the guidance of Hebei Port Group’s transformation and upgrading strategy, striving to take the lead in achieving breakthroughs in navigation experience and training. Since the signing of these twin-hull unpowered sailing boats in November last year, we have communicated with each other many times to deal with problems such as transportation and customs clearance during the Spring Festival this year, so that these boats would arrive the port as soon as possible, however, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, these boats were delayed until mid March.” said the leader of the company.
