On March 24, an announcement on the epidemic prevention and control, forest fire prevention, air pollution prevention, and safe and civilized worshiping at the Qingming Festival jointly issued by the Qinhuangdao Civil Affairs Bureau, Qinhuangdao Forestry Bureau, Qinhuangdao Ecological Environment Bureau, Qinhuangdao Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, and Qinhuangdao UMALE, which bans the gathering worship throughout the city, the production, transportation, operation, and use of feudal superstitious worship supplies, and behaviors burning sacrifices in the open air, and advocates new ways for tomb sweeping.
In response to the announcement, the citizens of Qinhuangdao actively changed their ways of worship, writing memorial articles, making cards of tender memories, or planting flowers online, to express their condolence.
