On May 7, four Chinese crew members of the “Ocean Princess” disembarked from the ship on the dock of DSIC, which marks the first batch of 24 crew members of the bulk ships has completed shift changes after strict temperature monitoring and nucleic acid testing. The ship is the sixth one repaired by DSIC Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. since the beginning of this year, and is expected to depart on May 15.

Thanks to the effective epidemic prevention and control measures made by the enterprise-residential team of epidemic prevention and control of Qinhuangdao Municipal Government and DSIC Shanhaiguang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., 24 Chinese crew members on the “Ocean Princess” bulk carrier changed shifts.
Qinhuangdao Municipal Government attaches great importance and promptly established a special enterprise-residential team of the epidemic prevention and control in DSIC Shanhaiguang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. on March 6, which was made up of the Municipal Bureau of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, the Municipal Health Committee, the Public Health Bureau of Qinhuangdao Development Zone, Qinhuangdao Customs, the Municipal Maritime Safety Administration, Qinhuangdao Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, and Shanhaiguang Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., and they started their work in the factory immediately after the establishment.

According to statistics, from March 8 to May 9, a total of 210 nucleic acid samples were collected from Chinese and foreign crew members, and 395 specimens were collected. The results showed that all were negative, all the suspected have been checked, and no one was left unscreened. With the close cooperation of the relevant departments, the team has helped 11 ships to shift 202 Chinese crew members, and received praise from many ship-repairing companies such as Taiwan Xinyou Company and Hong Kong Changhai Company.
