In order to assess the epidemic risk in our city, and do a better job in epidemic prevention and control in key locations, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) and Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Qinhuangdao made COVID-19 nucleic acid test on the imported frozen food samples in downtown supermarkets on June 19 while doing a good job in the epidemic prevention and control in accordance with the current new situation of domestic epidemic
The test sampled the sales and storage of imported frozen foods from six large supermarkets in our city including salmon, imported shrimps, frozen pork, beef, and mutton. A total of 71 samples of the environment and foods were collected.
All the samples tested by the laboratory of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention were negative. This emergency test is of positive significance to scientifically assess the contamination risk of the COVID-19 of imported frozen foods in our city, strengthen the prevention and control measures of the epidemic, and effectively protect the health of citizens.
