Qinhuangdao (The Great Wall Network/reporter Zu Di, correspondent Cao Qingzhong, Ren Kuiming)--In order to further strengthen the fire safety of community property management, comprehensively improve the capability of firefighters, a drill was held by the Fire Rescue Brigade of Beidaihe New District, Qinhuangdao City on July 9, to train the community property management staff and community fire station workers.

Taking typical fire cases in residential buildings in recent years, officers of the brigade focused on the fire hazards, fire prevention measures, and initial fire fighting from aspects of fire prevention, fire extinguishment, escape, and self-rescues; explained the knowledge of routine fire inspection, fire fighting and emergency evacuation plans, use of fire fighting facilities, evacuation and escape from the perspectives of responsibilities of fire safety managers and property management staff; instructed them how to use the firefighter clothing, dry powder fire extinguisher, and fire hose, as well as the fire facilities maintenance and precautions.

In order to make the training more impressive, and strengthen the community fire station members’ experience, officers of the brigade conducted drills of wearing firefighter clothing and air respirators, and operating fire engines. They explained fire emergency procedure, coordination and cooperation among team members, and operation of fire-fighting equipment, so that they can further master the necessary fire-fighting skills, and effectively improve the capability of the community fire stations to handle the initial fire hazards.
