In the midsummer of July, Xingshuyuan Village, located at the foot of Jieshi Mountain in Changli County, is like a beautiful landscape painting of lush mountains, lucid waters, and fragrant flowers. This small mountain village is tranquil and beautiful with warm farmyards, exquisite cultural walls, clean roads, and bright streetlamps. Fragrant flowers are everywhere that attract merchants who purchase flowers at the market and transport them to all over the country.
On the morning of July 17, Wu Yanru, a villager in Xingshuyuan Village, Changli County, was working in the greenhouse of her courtyard. “This is a new type of pearl plum flower developed by ourselves. It is unique and sells good.” said Wu Yanru with a happy smile on her sweaty face. She has been engaged in flower growing for more than 20 years. There are about 20,000 pots of pearl plums and 10,000 pots of roses in the 3 greenhouses in her courtyard, and merchants come to purchase flowers in March every year, which can bring her 200,000 yuan annually.
