Recently, the multifunctional tunnel segment transport vehicle was independently developed and produced by the enterprise in Qinhuangdao Economic and Technological Development Zone, which will be used in the upgrading project of North Huancheng Road to Tianmushan Road in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and it is expected to be delivered to the project site at the end of August.
There are 6 MSV75 segment transport vehicles in total, which were developed by Qinhuangdao Tianye Tonglian Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. in 3 months. It can transport 75 tons of segments and other materials. It is suitable for tunnels with a diameter of 9 meters, and is the biggest tunnel tire segment transport vehicle in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, with 21 meters long, 2 meters wide, 1.35 meters high at the front, 2.64 meters high at the rear, and one driving compartment in the front and rear each.
The tires are designed with 2 longitudinal rows and 5 axis, with 5% climbing capability. Compared with rail transport vehicles, it does not need tracks, with flexible and convenient operation. Given that the ventilation in the tunnel is not good, the truck takes a diesel engine, which meets the National V emission standards, with low smoke emission and low noise, to reduces the emission pressure, and improve the overall working environment in the tunnel.
Zhang Yang, a vehicle engineer from Qinhuangdao Tianye Tonglian Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd., said that this segment transport vehicle can simultaneously transport segmental box culverts and mortar mixing tanks with different transport carriers. One vehicle with functions of three transport carriers can save two-thirds of the procurement cost for the constructors.
