On November 8, the “2020 China Tourism Commodity Competition” concluded successfully at Yiwu International Expo Center in Zhejiang Povince. Qinhuangdao City won one silver and one bronze medal, another awards won in national competition followed by two silvers in the “2020 China Characteristic Tourism Commodity Competition”.
According to the Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television Bureau of Qinhuangdao City, the theme of this competition is healthy living necessity, highlighting products’ functions and popularities, aiming to recommend daily tourist products of healthy life that meet the market demand. There are 15 gold medals, 30 silver medals, and 60 bronze medals in the competition. A total of 448 sets (3,623 pieces) of tourism products participated in the competition. The “Jifa Loofah Series“ and the “Hospitality Glass Cups” from Qinhuangdao City won the silver and the bronze respectively, ranking the first in the province.

The “Jifa IP Loofah Series” are made of loofah materials with practical functions and emotional support, trying to find a reasonable application direction for loofah design: products in kitchen and bathroom, tea sets, cushions, etc. The “Hospitality Glass Cups” proposed the concept of host and guest cup. The themes of the whole set relate to each other with different meanings, reflecting the humanistic thought of “harmony with diversity” in Chinese culture.
Faced with the development opportunities of the tourism industry in the new era, the Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television of Qinhuangdao City will further increase its support for tourism commodity enterprises, strengthen the research and development of characteristic tourist products, create more well-known products with local characteristics, and establish the brand of Qinhuangdao Gift, to meet the shopping needs of tourists, and promote the upgrading of tourism consumption.
