Expanding accurate statistics with real name Wechat groups door to door, investigating with big data, inspecting the stores, publicizing epidemic prevention and control policies... In the past few days, 30 newcomers took part in epidemic prevention and control teams in Shoufu Community, Xigang Road Sub-district, Haigang District, they are called “Community Xiao Wei”, assisting the community in epidemic prevention and control work.
The “Community Xiao Wei” refers to the party members and volunteers who help to handle things in detail for the epidemic prevention and control in the community through Wechat groups.
In order to do a better job in the epidemic prevention and control with the support of the masses, the Shoufu Community of Xigang Road Sub-district, based on the experience of Qinhuangdao’s “Community Xiao Wei” assisting community epidemic prevention and control in 2020, continues to explore suitable mode for the community epidemic prevention and control. Over 30 people have joined the “Community Xiao Wei” team of Shoufu Community since January 8 in respond to the call of the community Party branch.
The team members come from different positions, including senior party members, college students, public welfare individuals, business owners, corporate employees, psychological counselors... they are all dedicated to serving the residents.
In the past few days, they offered services online and offline. Psychological counselor Wang Min, Luo Wenjing from “New Hope Charity”, real estate agent Zhang Guitong, enterprise director Zhang Fan, and college student Liu Haoying are the best examples, they serve the people with their professional qualifications, natural affinity, good communication skills, and computer competence.

They uploaded information online and reported the information and clues of the people coming from other cities to the community residents’ committee, so that the community could grasp the situation as soon as possible, and quickly inform the dynamic prevention and control policy to every resident. Online communication helps residents to deal with problems and spread information.
More and more residents joined the team: Huang Wenyan and her son Wang Zhuo, a police school student, Zhang Xiuzhi, a model party member of the community anti-epidemic in 2020, and her granddaughter Liu Haoying majoring in nursing, Chinese teacher Yan Xin, Zhao Xiaoyan, and Liu Liangran...they all contributed to the epidemic prevention and control in their own way.
“They are all ordinary residents who fight for the homeland, doing tedious and small things well to relieve the work pressure of the grassroots community workers. We owe them a debt of gratitude for what they have done.” said the staff members of the Shoufu Community residents’ committee.
Up to now, the team members have served 11 high-rise residential buildings, established 12 WeChat groups, sorted more than 100 files of household cards, posted more than 200 notices, released more than 500 messages, and received over 1,000 consultations, called more than 1,000 people, and issued more than 3,500 passes...
