Gangtian Aluminum Plastic Packaging Co., Ltd. is an enterprise specializing in flexible packaging products. A few years ago, it was close to be suspended due to environmental protection failures. The company increased waste gas treatment efficiency from 80% to 99.7%, and reduced the VOCs emission concentration from 50 mg per cubic meter to 15 mg with Sykonos environmental protection system. The waste gas became the heat source, which replaced the electric heating production mode of the five printing production lines, and provided heating for the factory office area. It effectively improved the environment, recovered the investment cost within three years, and gained economic benefits.

“The new system reduced energy consumption, saving 700,000 yuan in electricity bills every year, and saving more than one million yuan a year in production efficiency, energy utilization and overall consumption.” said Sun Maoshan, deputy general manager of the company.
VOCs refers to volatile organic compounds, including toxic and hazardous substances such as benzene, toluene, and xylene that mainly come from the emissions of industrial enterprises in the color printing, mechanical spraying, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and are one of the main causes of smog. At present, the main method of treatment is incineration and destruction, which costs much on energy, investment and operation.
