As the weather gets warm, migratory birds fly over Qinhuangdao, swans and other birds were seen by the photographers, marking the migration season comes earlier.
Near Shihebei Island in Shanhaiguan District, silver-gray Siberian gulls are frolicking and foraging. They fly and swim from time to time.
Kong Xianglin, vice president of Qinhuangdao Association of Bird Watching (Lovers), introduced that the spring migration in Qinhuangdao starts from the end of February to the beginning of March each year, and a large number of swans, wild geese, and cranes fly over Qinhuangdao. But it has been about one week earlier this year, and the swan, national secondary protected birds have been seen since mid-February.

Migratory birds always have fixed routes, and the coastline is an important channel. Qinhuangdao City boasts advantageous geographical location, good ecological environment, abundant coastal forests and wetland resources. It is an important post on their migration route. At present, more than 500 birds have been found, accounting for 1/3 of the total number of birds in China. There are 15 places good for bird watching, including Shihe Estuary, Beidaihe Wetland, Haibin National Forest Park, areas along the Great Wall, and Qilihai.
Kong Xianglin suggests visitors to abide by wildlife protection regulations, and protect the environment for bird migration. Don’t wear bright clothes. Don't disturb birds at close range, and don't chase or frighten them.
