The General Administration of Sports released the “List of National Sports Industry Bases(2020)” on its official website on March 25. The Seatopia(Blue coast) sailing project in Beidaihe New District was rated as a national sports industry demonstration project.
There are 13 national sports industry demonstration bases, 33 national sports industry demonstration units, and 33 national sports industry demonstration projects. The Seatopia(Blue coast) sailing project in Beidaihe New District is the only one selected in Qinhuangdao.
Qinhuangdao Municipal Government and the Chinese Yachting Association signed a strategic cooperation agreement in 2019, and in the same year, Sino-Ocean Group responded to the call of the municipal government and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Yachting Association at the corporate level, marking the official win-win partnership.
In recent years, under the leadership of Qinhuangdao Municipal Government and with the support of the Municipal Sports Bureau and Beidaihe New District, Sino-Ocean Group has successively assisted in hosting the National Sailing Championships, National Windsurfing Championships, China Sailing Masters, the Second National Youth Games Sailing Competition, the National Youth Sailing League, and WGP International Tourism Island Windsurfing Grand Prix, providing good service for the summer training of the national sailing team.
Wang Xin, general manager of Qinhuangdao Cultural Tourism Company of Sino-Ocean Group, said that Sino-Ocean Group has been committed to the development of China’s sailing industry for a long time. We take this award as the recognition from governments at all levels and the motivation for the future development of our sailing industry. “We will continue to do well in sailing training for youngsters, and strive to build the best youth sailing training base in China. At the same time, we will continue to undertake sailing events at all levels, hold regular nautical forums, and launch the Urban Ocean Week. We hope that in the next five years, the 2.8-km project coastline can play a more important role in China’s sailing development.”
