1.Geziwo(The Pigeon’s Nest Wetland)
The first thing to say is of course the famous Pigeon’s Nest wetland! “The Pigeon’s Nest Wetland” is a part of the Beidaihe Wetlands, several stops away from Beidaihe Olympic Park by bus.
Due to the rise and fall of the tide, the waters recede at intervals, so the local citizens also call it “Dachao Ping”(Tidal Flat)! The waters of the Pigeon’s Nest are wide with flat and gentle coastline and the beaches extending far away.
2. Beidaihe Wetland Park
Beidaihe Wetland Park, the largest urban wetland in China, has 412 species of birds (1329 species of birds in China), accounting for one-third of China’s total species of birds. It’s known as the “Mecca for Bird-watching”!
There are many types of wetlands in the Beidaihe Wetland, such as forests, beaches, lagoons, and river channels. Every year, a large number of domestic and foreign bird researchers and bird lovers come here for academic research and bird watching activities.

3. Lianfengshan Park
Lianfengshan Park is a great place to observe raptors and large waders---especially “Lianchi” lake, which is a paradise for birds and joyous place for visitors .
In addition, Lianfengshan Park is also a great place to observe all kinds of
tits, black-faced babbler, Sanbao Birds, and woodpeckers

4. Shanhaiguan Shihe Entrance
Shanhaiguan Shihe Wetland is the well-protected wetland in the Far East. Located at the southern end of Shanhaiguan, it is a peninsula-type wetland formed by floods and tides.
Here the natural ecosystem is very complete, and it is the rare one in China and even in the world. It is also the scientific research base for many institutions and universities.
Every year from late October to mid-November, bird-watchers from all over the world will wait here for the arrival of the lovely little angels.

5. Qilihai Wetland in Changli County
Qilihai, with an extremely poetic name, once known as “Qilitan”, named after its wide waters about seven miles, is the largest lagoon in North China!
Because the Qilihai lies between the sea and the land, the coastal area is covered with grasses, wetlands and swamps, which has the best natural ecological environment. So it has become the habitat for many migratory birds and summer birds.
