The primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City launched theme education activities on the occasion of the Tomb Sweeping Day.
“Wise young generation leads to a wise country, mature and mighty young generation leads to a prosperous and powerful country...” In front of the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument in Tanghe Park, the students from Class One of Yingqiuli Experimental Primary School were delivering the recitation of “Young China”. They presented small white flowers to the martyrs, told stories about heroes, recited poems in memory of the revolutionary martyrs, and remember the heroes and took their pledge to serve the country.
Duzhuang Junior High School, Shimenzhai Junior High School, Shiling Primary School, Dashengang Primary School, Beidiao Primary School, and Xiapingshan Primary School also organized pupils to mourn for martyrs on the Tomb Sweeping Day. Teachers and students listened to the heroic deeds in front of the tombstones of the martyrs, presenting flowers, bowing silently to the martyrs, and solemnly swearing an oath to remember and praise the deeds of the revolutionary martyrs forever, study hard for the motherland.
Lipanzhuang Primary School mourned for the martyrs through live streaming. More than 30 representatives of teachers and students came to the martyrs’ monument in the Zhujiayu Anti-Japanese Heroes and Martyrs Cemetery in Funing District, learned the story of the heroes in Zhujiayu Beishan battle, presented flowers to the martyrs with great reverence, and mourned for martyrs who dedicated their young lives to defend the country. More than 500 teachers and students in the school participated in the ritual through watching the live steaming. They sang the national anthem, stood in silent tribute, and reviewed the oath of joining the CPC Young Pioneers.
Jianshelu Primary School and Donggang First Primary School organized students to mourned for martyrs online, presenting flowers, lighting candles, and delivering speeches to memorialize the martyrs’ great achievements and express their gratitude and respect to the heroes. The students learned to cherish the happy life, and advocate the new concept of offering sacrifice online in a civilized way.
Tiexinli Primary School, Haiyang Primary School, and Xinyilu Primary School launched themed class meetings, flag-raising ceremony, and hand-written newspaper competitions, to mourn for martyrs on the Tomb Sweeping Day, carrying out education on patriotism, CPC history and national conditions for young pioneers, to carry forward national spirit, inherit the red gene, and buckle the first button for the education of socialist core values.
