The Tomb Sweeping Day falls on April 4, and the Communist Youth League members came to the Martyrs Cemetery of Qinhuangdao City to mourn for the martyrs and learn the history of Communist Party of China.
The Communist Youth League members stood in silent tribute in front of the martyrs’ monument.
At 10:30 in the morning, they lined up in front of the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument with the inscription of “Eternal Glory to the People’s Heroes”, mourning for the martyrs, and presenting baskets of flowers to the monument. They bowed and paid respects to the monument before visiting the Martyrs Memorial Hall, learning about the heroic deeds of the revolutionary martyrs who fought fearlessly for the national independence and liberation through listening to the revolutionary history, watching sculptures and precious pictures.

“My thoughts have been baptized and sublimated through experiencing the history.” said Zhang Lei, a Communist Youth League member. “I was deeply touched by the deeds of the Huachangyu masses who made huge sacrifices to cover the transfer of troops. Peace does not come easily. I am a young railway man in the new era, and I must bear in mind the principle of serving the people wholeheartedly, and being a forerunner in the great journey of a powerful country in transportation.”
The activity inspired the faith in the Party and enthusiasm of work into the CYL members, and enhanced the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the CYL organization. They swore to remain true to their aspiration under the guidance of the heroic spirit, devote enthusiasm to reforms, railways, with duty and responsibility, and greet the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
