The students at Yaohua Primary School are reading classic books.
The reading festival was launched by Qinhuangdao Yaohua Primary School on the morning of April 27, with the theme of “Reading Red Classics, Reciting the Achievements of a Century, and Passing on the Red Gene”.
At the launching ceremony, Pei Xirui and other 3 students read the excerpts from four classic red books, “Little Hero Yulai”, “Shinning Red Stars” “ Red Rain Boots of My Little Sister”, “Hongyan” which inspired the students’ aspiration of the communism.
He Yushan, a student from Class 5 Grade 3, recited Dai Wangshu’s poem “After rain”. Qiu Yuechen and other 2 students from Class 2 Grade 4 recited “Chinese Teenagers”. All teachers and students recited patriotic poems with passion.
The reading stars of March were awarded, which in turn stimulated their enthusiasm for reading. The teachers and students who participated in “Classic Recitation” held in Haigang District in 2020 were awarded too.
The reading festival aroused the enthusiasm of the teachers and students for the red classics, cultivating their love for the CPC, the motherland, and the socialism, passing on the red gene and revolutionary spirit, and greeting the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
