The peak grape picking season is from May to June each year, attracting tourists from Beijing, Tangshan, and Qinhuangdao.
Guo Yuling, a villager in Mujing Village, Mujing Town, had a good harvest of nectarines. The big red fruits looked pleasant on the branches, and workers were packing for sale. Guo Yuling has 6 mu of greenhouses to grown nectarines, and she has been engaged for 10 years. The greenhouse nectarines have been picked and sold since early April.
In addition, greenhouse tomatoes and strawberries in Gebo Town, and greenhouse blueberries and cucumbers in Liutian Gezhuang Town are booming, forming a high-efficiency agricultural planting development pattern of “One Center, Three Areas and Five Bases” with Gebo, Liutian Gezhuang, and Mujing Towns as the core. The county’s facility agriculture area has reached more than 10,000 mu, and the output value 100 million yuan.
