The 2nd Shijiazhuang International Sugar and Wine Fair opened in Shijiazhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center on May 28 to 30.
As a mid-year trade event for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei wine and food industry, this fair attracted more than 600 outstanding companies, covering over 7,000 products such as wine, food, and beverage.
More than 40 wine brands of over 10 key wine producers in Changli Jieshishan production area participated in the exhibition, highly concerned by the participating dealers.
Changli is the birthplace of the first bottle of dry red wine in New China. It boasts mountains, sea, abundant sunshine, distinct seasons, rich minerals, and permeable soil, which is suitable for grapes.
The production area has been awarded honorary titles such as “Hometown of Chinese Wine and Grapes” and “China’s Dry Red Wine City” by state authorities.
In 2002, “Changli Wine” became the first national geographical indication protected product in the national wine industry; in 2019, the Jieshishan production area was certified by the China Wine Industry Association as a “small wine production area”, the first in Hebei and the third in China.
At present, Changli County has 26 wine brewing enterprises (including 12 wineries), 7 family wine castles, 50,000 mu of grape base, with a total processing capacity of 140,000 tons.
It has formed industrial cluster of wine grape planting, wine brewing, oak barrel production, color printing and packaging, wine bottle manufacturing, cork production, transportation, logistics distribution, tourism, leisure and health care, and the annual sales revenue of entire industry chain reaches 3.6 billion yuan.
