Recently, the first-grade pupils of Boya Primary School in Haigang District drew picture book “The Story of a Little Red Boat”, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
It took 46 pupils 3 months to finish this original picture book with the help of their art teachers.
The picture book consists of four sections, “New Democratic Revolution” “Socialist Construction” “Reform and Opening Up”, and “The Eighteenth National Congress of the Party”.
It takes the clip art form of the famous picture book master Eric Eriker, presenting major historical events and important revolutionary cultural relics of the party in the past 100 years, and demonstrating the party’s great spirit along the unswerving road of struggle.
“A ruin, half a belt, a letter from home, there is an unforgettable and moving story behind every memory. We rearranged and depicted these stories, reviewing the past century through the clip art from the unique perspective of pupils, which is a gift of love for the Party.” said Zhang Haifeng, the principal of Boya Primary School.
The picture book was framed and exhibited in the school, which is like a red seed that will root in pupils’ hearts, guiding them to love the party and the motherland through learning the party history, and follow the party’s lead forever.
