The moot court was held by student volunteers from Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology.
The court simulated a case of campus violence caused by campus bullying. The roles of the presiding judge, judge, defendant, prosecutor, engrossment clerk, and defender were played by the volunteers and children. The “defendant” was pronounced guilty and severely punished after a series of rigorous procedures including court investigations, court debates, final statements, and judgments at court session.
Children obtained legal knowledge by participating in the court trial process.
“I will obey the law, and be a good boy.” said Cao Kailiang, a child participating in the activity.

Xin Yuhe, associate professor at the College of Arts and Laws of Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology, said that they aim to arouse children’s legal awareness and concept of the rule of law through such a case with a high probability of happening around teenagers, so that they can protect their legal rights and interest with laws.
