On December 14, Qinhuangdao Airport received the 400,000 passengers with the smooth landing of HU7267 flight, which indicates that Qinhuangdao Airport has set a new record since its opening to service, the passenger throughput exceeded 400,000 for the first time.
By December 14, Qinhuangdao Airport had received 4,261 flights and 400,600 passengers, an increase of 10.65% and 27.8% respectively, compared with the same period of last year. It is estimated that the annual passenger throughput will exceed 410,000.
This year, with the strong support of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government as well as the Airport Group, Qinhuangdao Airport took the strategic opportunity of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and of building a first-class international tourist city in Qinhuangdao to further clarify the airport's functional position and focus on improving security and quality of service. Guided by market demand, Qinhuangdao Airport has optimized the flight routes for the market share taking advantage of the flights change according to the season. 9 domestic flights from Qinhuangdao to Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, Harbin, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, Datong, Ningbo and Xi'an, and 4 international charter flights to Yakutsk and Blagoveshchensk of Russia, Da Nang of Vietnam, and Siem Reap of Cambodia have been opened successively, there are 17 navigation cities in total, and the airport route network structure is getting better and better.
