“2018 Qinhuang Mountain and Sea·Food and Wine Culture Festival and the 4th Qinhuangdao Wine Region New Wines Festival” was held, and the best combination of 40 sets of wine and food is impressive and striking.
The event was sponsored by Qinhuangdao Municipal Government, jointly hosted by the Grape and Wine Committee of the World Federation of Chinese Food Industry, and the Wine and Fruit Wine expert Committee of the China Food Industry Association. The activity aims to promote close cooperation between wine industry and catering industry in the grape producing areas, and highlight the regional characteristics of Qinhuangdao. The event focuses on introducing wines from Qinhuangdao, developing leisure tourism in wineries, promoting the development of the wine industry chain, and providing tourists with the best combination of local specialties and wines to lead the new fashion of food and wine culture. On the day of the event, more than 200 people were invited, including representatives of domestic trade associations, well-known food and wine experts, representatives of relevant departments and enterprises of Qinhuangdao, as well as wine and food lovers.
The activities include competitions of food and wine matching, new wine tastings and so on. 48 kinds of Qinhuangao local foods and 17 wines recommended by 7 wineries from Qinhuangdao appeared in the matching session. Judging by experts, 40 combinations won the "Best Combination of China ( Qinhuangdao) Local specialties + Qinhuangdao Wine Region” including Jiangnv cake + Renxuan 2017 rosé wine, vanilla tomato sauce prawns + Maotai Shadang dry white wine, Zhanfu steak + Huaxia 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon red wine, etc..
Meanwhile, the " 4th Qinhuangdao Wine Region New Wines Festival" is carried out. More than 30 wine experts and winemakers from all over the country taste 36 new 2018 wines from Qinhuangdao.
