Fishing off season doesn’t mean sea closing season
Many people are confused about fishing off season and sea closing season. What is the difference between them? In order to protect marine fishery resources, our country adopts the policy of fishing off in summer, which is not closing the sea. In the fishing off season, fishing boats still can go fishing at the sea, except for those engaged in Huanghai and Bohai areas with trawls, gill nets, seine nets, rake nets, windsurfing nets, set net, cage pots, traps, and other fishing gears, etc.. Fishing vessels engaged in fishing tackle operations are allowed to operate at the fishing off season.
During the fishing off season, such seafood is still available and it will appear on our table as usual:
The fish caught in the offshore are mainly sea sashimi, blackheads, sand boards and bass. Cultivated seafood such as South American white shrimps, Chinese prawns, bass, blackheads, sea sashimi and turbots will be on the market.
The clams cultured in the mudflats and the shellfish such as conchs, snails, oysters and scallops are not affected by the sea closing, and the market supply will be sufficient.
In addition, because the frozen technology is relatively mature nowadays, the fish cultured in the offshore, the seafood carried back by the overseas fishing vessels, and the fish in the refrigerated factory can be put into the market after thawing.
