7. Lulong Economic Development Zone
Lulong Economic Development Zone (formerly Longcheng Industrial Zone) was approved as a provincial-level development zone by Hebei Provincial Government in July 2011 with a total planned area of 29 square kilometers. It is composed of two parts. One part is composed of two areas in the southern and northern sections that are geographically connected. The southern section is the county industrial park and the Xiazhai Green Chemical Park. The northern section is a New Building Materials Industrial Park. The other part is the Shimen Circular Economy Industrial Park.
The infrastructure is complete. At present, there is a water purification plant in the development zone, with a designed water supply capacity of 20,000 tons/day, and the production and domestic sewage of the county industrial park will be handled by the county sewage treatment plant. There are two 110KV substations in the development zone and one 35KV substation, and the power supply is guaranteed. The heating station of the county industrial park has been completed, and the extension project of the pipelines to the industrial park is being implemented. In the northern part of the development zone, the construction of a gate station of Yong (Yongqing County)-Tang (Tangshan)-Qin (Qinhuangdao) Natural Gas Pipeline, is about to start, which will provide sufficient natural gas for the development zone. The development zone has basically reached the standard for water supply, drainage, power supply, heating, roads, cable television, communications, and field engineering.
In 2016, Lulong Economic Development Zone achieved revenue of RMB 6.5 billion in its main business, tax revenue of RMB 180 million, a fixed asset investment of RMB 2.1 billion, and introduced domestic capital of RMB 1.7 billion, and foreign capital of $24 million.
