“At dawn I left the walled city of White King, towering among the many-colored clouds
And came down stream one thousand li in a day to Jiangling.
The screams of apes on either bank had scarcely ceased echoing in my ear,
When my skiff had passed ten thousand ranges of hills.”
At 8 pm on August 28, Hu Borui, a 9-year-old primary school student, was reading Tang poetry accompanied by his mother, Ms. Jiang, at Qinhuang ShanHai No. 03 Reading Pavilion next to the Finance Bureau of Easten Qinhuang Street, Haigang District, with enthusiasm and vitality.
Ms. Jiang said that because her family is near to the pavilion, she often takes her children to read aloud after school or when they go for a walk. “We found two reading pavilions near our home this spring, one in the Roundabout Park and another in Qinhuang Street. At first I had no idea about what this small glass booth is for. But my kid was fond of it after trying. He can read poetry without any disturbance here. This is very helpful for the accumulation of children’s poetry. And he can share and interact with teachers and classmates in the Wechat Moments. My family really like this reading pavilion!”.said Ms. Jiang.
