In order to create a stronger reading atmosphere for Qinhuangdao, “Qinhuang Shanhai” National Reading Contest has set up five reading booths in Haigang district for citizens’ free reading. Nearly 1,000 people enter the reading booths every month to read and record. High-quality equipment and the sense of experience have made “Qinhuang Shanhai” more popular. Since the online reading activity of the Qinhuang Shanhai National Reading Contest online reading activity was launched on April 29th, the popularity of the Hebei Division has continued to rise, which has triggered a national reading craze. By the end of August, more than 2,800 contestants had registered online in the Hebei Division, and more than 800,000 votes had been cast. After the auditions and the preliminary evaluation of the organizing committee, more than 150 contestants were successfully promoted to the finals in Hebei Division.
On September 8, Qinhuang Shanhai National Reading Contest, Hebei division was held in the administration of press, publication, radio, film and television of Haigang district in Qinhuangdao. The contest was divided into two matches, separately in the morning and in the afternoon. The contestants performed in turn, and each contestant performed for three minutes. The judges scored on the spot according to the contestant’s work content, performance skills, style, language level and overall performance.

After fierce competition, Wang Jianzhong’s “Mom, Where are you going?” won the first prize, Xing Qianli’s “Man Jiang Hong” and Tu Dajun’s “Meet in the 100th spring” won the second, and Yang Yize’s “Youth China”, Li Chenxi’s “Red ---The Most Royal Color”, Wang Nannan’s “Color of Spring” won the third prize, and other eight contestants won the excellence awards. The first prize winner will participate in the national finals of “Qinhuang Shanhai” National Reading Contest on behalf of Hebei division in November, and jointly undertake the finals and annual festival of “Qinhuang Shanhai” National Reading Contest.
