From September 11 to 12, the Innovative Development Seminar on Qinhuangdao Tourism Performance & Night Tour Economy was held in Qinhuangdao, aiming to implement the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Further Stimulating the Potential of Culture and Tourism Consumption, further stimulate the cultural and tourism consumption potential of Qinhuangdao, and promote the development of Qinhuangdao’s culture and tourism to a new level. The seminar was co-sponsored by the Cultural Industry Committee of the China Cultural Management Association and the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, News and Publication of Qinhuangdao City, undertaken by Qinhuangdao Biluota Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and organized by College of Art and Design of Yanshan University. More than 60 experts, scholars, directors, representatives and journalists from culture tourism performing arts industry, key tourism enterprises and travel agencies from across the country, and counties and districts of Qinhuangdao, including Cao Xiaoning, Gan Lu, Liu Liping, Liu Yuzheng, Zhou Xudong, Zhang Pengjian, Chen Ning, Fu Zhitao, Cheng Chi, Yang Xianghua, Cheng Xuejun, Wang Mingxia, Sun Xiaoge, etc., gathered to study the current situation of tourism development in Qinhuangdao City, analyze the successful experience of China’s first large-scale live performance “Langtaosha·Beidaihe”, discuss the new thought of innovation development of “performing arts culture lights up the night economy of tourism”, and explore the new modes of tourism development in night economy.
On the morning of September 11, the participating guests visited Aranya Tourism Resort, Fisher Island Scenic Spot, Pigeon Nest Park in Beidaihe, and were deeply impressed by the municipal construction, city appearance, the environmental sanitation and city management. They highly praised the tourism products, marketing and operation management level of Qinhuangdao City. The seminar, which was held in the afternoon, was presided over by Li Wensheng, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Qinhuangdao Municipal Party Committee, and party secretary of the Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio and Television of Qinhuangdao City. Chang Pijun, vice chairman of the China Cultural Management Association, delivered a speech and congratulations to the seminar. Cui Xingliang, chairman of the Cultural Industry Committee of the China Cultural Management Association, expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and organizers, and delivered a keynote speech on the innovative economic strategy of night tourism and the current trend of domestic tourism performance. Wang Haidong, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio and Television of Qinhuangdao City, introduced the development of the cultural tourism industry in Qinhuangdao City. The representatives of tourism enterprises, such as Bureau of Tourism, Culture, Radio and Television of Beidaihe District, Shanhaiguan Scenic Spot, Fisher Island, Pigeon Nest Park, New Nandaihe Entertainment Center, and Biluota Tower Sea Park shared the experience in the integration of culture and tourism, and the development of night tourism economy. Among them, the development mode of Biluota Tower “Cocktail” night tourism economy and the experience of “Langtaosha·Beidaihe” performing arts project introduced by Wang Youqi, chairman of Qinhuangdao Biluota Tourism Development Co., Ltd. attracted people’s attention and became the biggest highlight of the seminar. The first domestic large-scale live performance “Langtaosha·Beidaihe” produced by this company adheres to the principle of “small investment, big production; small stage, big theme; and small story, big hero” with great significance, distinctive features, customized design, and medium scale, to explore a new way of performing arts empowering tourism. It complied with national policy, and made contribution to the integration of cultural tourism and performing arts in coastal areas. The Cultural Industry Committee of the China Cultural Management Association awarded the company the vice president unit. Guest representatives Liu Yuzheng, Cao Xiaoning, Zhou Xudong, Yang Xianghua, and Wang Mingxia made keynote speeches at the seminar, expressing their opinions on the classification, characteristics and development mode of Qinhuangdao night tourism. In the evening, the guests were invited to Beidaihe Biluota Tower Sea Park to appreciate the “Cocktail” mode of tourism night economic collection of Biluota Tower Sea Performing Arts, RV Camp, Coastal Fashion Art Trestle, Wedding Dress, Bar and Museums, and witnessed the shock and unique charm of China’s first large-scale live performance “Langtaosha·Beidaihe”. The participating experts highly praised the “Langtaosha·Beidaihe” live performance project and the economic thinking of Biluota Tower Night Tourism. “It is a rare and excellent tourist performance, and plays a guiding role in the mess situation of current China’s tourism performances.” “a miracle of tourism performance project in northern China with 101 performances, nearly 500,000 audiences in 57 days, and the conversion rate of 49%.” Said Cui Xingliang, chairman of the Cultural Industry Committee of the China Cultural Management Association. Shi Yong, the secretary-general of Hebei Provincial Cultural Tourism Industry Association, who witnessed the “Biluota Tower Miracle”, said that “Langtaosha·Beidaihe” which was performed every night at Biluota Tower in Beidaihe this summer was very popular, with the revolutionary romantic spirit in Mao Zedong’s poem “Langtaosha·Baidaihe” running through it, using the naked eye 3D Mapping image technology, to present the original poetry and beautiful pictures on the spiral sightseeing tower, and interpret the gorgeous and magnificent magic show on the sea to the tourists. The original one performance per day soon turned into two, and Biluota Tower became the “online celebrity scenic spot” of Beidaihe this summer. Many tourists have to book nearby hotels in advance. “The performance of Langtaosha· Baidaihe is a good cultural performance brand, which not only supported the night economy itself, but also stimulated the transportation, catering, accommodation, etc. The coordination of all walks of life has also promoted the local night economy.” said Shi Yong, “The development of the night economy is based on commercial consumption. It is necessary to explore our own cultural characteristics, combine humanity history and customs, and constantly increase creativity, to promote the sustainable development of the night economy on the basis of the culture.” He added.
